Live Mass - Saturday, 1 November 2025.
When Monsignor João Clá closed his eyes on earth in the early hours of 1 November 2024, although experiencing the sadness common to a separation - from a human point of view, so definite - none of his children gave in to despair, because, due to his blameless conduct, his deeds, his wisdom, his kindness, and his faith, it was clear to everyone that our founder had only one possible destination: Heaven, where he would be welcomed joyfully by the Blessed Virgin Mary, to whom he had dedicated his entire life and whom he had taught so many to love. This is the hope of children who know their spiritual father well, although they do not want to anticipate the judgment of the Church.
They were encouraged by the confidence that “What eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and what has not entered the human heart, what God has prepared for those who love him,” (1 Cor 2:9), for when a sinner dies, the earth mourns; but when a saint dies, Heaven rejoices and delights the earth with the certainty of that soul's salvation.
