For Part 2 of our trip to Scotland we made a short film about our trip to see the the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia based at the Greyfriars Convent in Elgin. We're big fans of nuns. Once you see them knocking around you know good things are in the pipe. They represent the business end of evangelisation and a large of part of the conversation that isn't really happening.
You can take 2 non believers present both with the same amazing arguments. One converts (if ya lucky), one does not. The difference is grace. What converts the heart, changes the mind. God's grace. And who is busy away praying for that grace to be ready for those arguments or incite the incident that leads to these out of the blue conversions we see more of in our cynical Western culture. God's hard yards, the stuff no one really wants to do. Modern religion has very much become the antithesis of the nun's life. Lot's of do goodery but no real prayer. And no lasting results either.
You can find out more about the nuns from their website.
This film is also our pitch to you, the faithful audience, to consider backing us with a monthly or one off donation if you aren't already.
Two, three or fours pounds a month from many regular donations makes a great deal possible for a small film crew like us.
